The Board has received the following update today from the Canadian Dairy Commission (CDC) regarding the planned compensation for dairy producers as a result of market access commitments made under recent international trade agreements:
The portal is still not up BUT we will start issuing payments this week. It will be done on a first come, first served basis so people who sent their registration first will get paid first.
Also, we have extended the deadline for a guaranteed payment in 2019. We will guarantee a payment in 2019 if registrations are received by December 13 instead of December 6. For registration received later than that, we will try to pay in 2019 but we won’t be able to guarantee it. So far, about 99.9% of producers want to be paid this year.
We [the CDC] will update the site of the program accordingly.
The Registration form is available at: https://application.cdc-ccl.gc.ca/ddpp-ppdpl
Please refer to the previous BCMMB updates on the DDPP program, if needed:
