The CDC has notified the BCMMB that registrations for the DDPP continue to come in and the majority of producers are using the portal method for registering. Unfortunately, some producers that are choosing to receive their payment electronically have entered a wrong bank account for the direct deposit.
If you register on the portal and request your DDPP payment by direct deposit, please pay attention to the following:
- Make sure to enter the correct banking information (branch, institution, account number).
- Verify that the test payment ACTUALLY appears in your bank account before confirming the amount of this payment.
- If the CDC finds out that your banking information is wrong, they will contact you by email to ask for a void cheque. These emails will come from one of the following email accounts: DDPPPayment-PaiementPPDPL@cdc-ccl.gc.ca or direct.p@cdc-ccl.gc.ca.
- If you provide a wrong bank account number that happens to be a valid account belonging to someone else, and if you do not wait for the test payment to show up in your account before confirming the amount, your DDPP payment will go to someone else. It is your responsibility to provide the correct banking information. Once a payment is made, it cannot be retracted and re-issued.
