Fall Incentive Days Update
As per the Board’s obligation to ensure adequate milk supply to the market, the BC Milk Marketing Board has issued an additional incentive day for the month of November to ensure adequate milk supply;
October 3 days (unchanged)
November 2 days 3 days
The incentive days are issued on a fixed basis (i.e. the days for October can only be use in October), this is different from the previous flexible days program.
Due to the uncertainty of policy changes related to market requirements at the national and regional levels, the Milk Board will be meeting with the Western Milk Pool next week to discuss the market requirements and the potential need for additional incentive days for the month of December.
Please review the Board’s notices daily as the Board will continue to update producers as required to manage production.
